In this new novel, Rusty Sabich will be sixty. As far as I'm concerned, HF could easily play a sixty year old.

Thanks for the link. I just read Presumed Innocent last month. It was really good, although quite a different ending from the movie. I'm now really looking forward to the sequel.

The books I've read by Turow have all been good. Rusty Sabich was included in Limitations which came out 2 or 3 years ago. He was the main character's boss and it was interesting to read the guy's description of Rusty. I'm certainly looking forward to another visit to Kindle county.

Found this: a nice review of the book. And the story looks very interesting for the movie sequel!

Oh please, please, please somebody make this movie and with Harrison PLEASE, PLEASE OH PLEASE!! It is just the sort of genre that Harrison should be looking at now, playing professionals, Presidents etc. Many many thanks Analia for posting the review. Jane.

Sounds good, hope they make it a movie and I'm with you Jane, hope Harrison does it. Presumed Innocent has always been one of my fave non action ones!!

If some of the original characters are still in the book, and they use the original actors, i wonder if they'd have the same actress playing his wife; forgive me, her name has gone plain out of my mind, even though i know it perfectly well. Jane.

Bonnie Bedelia.

I just finished the book today and I absolutely LOVED it. From the original, Sandy Stern (Raul Julia), Rusty's Wife (Bonnie Bedelia, Tommy Molto (Joe Grifasi) and Rusty's Son, Nat (Jesse Bradford) are all major characters in the seque.
Unfortunately, Raul has obviously passed on so that role would have to be re-cast. The others would be able to fill in nicely.
Also unfortuante, Alan Pakula has also passed away.

You definitely should pick this up, though. It's well worth it.

Many thanks for posting the name Digitalfreaknyc; i knew the name honestly, but just couldn't bring it to mind quickly enough. I shall definately read the book once i can find an unabridged audio version. Jane.

Isn't that an oxymoron?

Oh Digitalfreaknyc, i had to laugh when i read your reply; yes, it is an oxymoron, but i really do mean read an unabridged audio version. As someone who is totally blind, i use language which others might turn from, so the word "read" or "see" are words i use frequently without thinking or minding. Jane.

Looks like Harrison won't get a shot at it. :(
