Have you ever noticed that Harrison and Calista NEVER completely hold hands? If so, please show me... Every single pic I've seen it looks like they're either barely hanging off each other's fingers or Harrison's got this loose grab thing going.... Is he afraid to break her fingers or something??? Your take, ladies? and gents, of course.... :p

Not defending or attacking, but remember, a photo is just a snapshot and literally a moment in time. Things are not always as they seem in a photo.

But I've noticed it, too, Dani. They do seem to have a lot of "pull my finger" shots... :D

Dani,
I've noticed this too. I've always found it so interesting that you'll see either one or both of them with this dreamy "I'm so deliriously happy" look/smile on their face, but if you look around the picture (away from the focal point) you'll usually find a limp fish somewhere. There was a great photo in US magazine a couple of months ago and they both looked great until you looked at their hands. Harrison was hanging on to her hand which was sort of curled up and limp, like she was trying to get away and just "relaxed" it for the photo.

But, I will admit...if you want to see them actually "holding hands" in a real sort of way, the photos from the first K-19 premieres are a good place to look. I think they actually were enjoying hanging on to each other then or at least hadn't tired of the game yet.

There's another possibility that just occurred to me, mostly because the weather here keeps changing and the arthritis in my hands is acting up. When my hands, or any joint, is swollen and painful, being touched is very comforting, but being held is excruciating. That might be what we're seeing.

I'm not saying either one of them is arthritic, but if one or both of them have some sort of repetitive motion injury, that could be a factor.

To me it just looks casual rather than stiff and formal. Familiar. Comfortable.

My husband holds my hand the way Harry holds Calista's because he is sooooo self conscious in public. So, it's just a shy thing. He really cares for Calista -- it shows in his face. And now that he has everyone's attention -- I think its a bit embarrassing for him.
