Thanks Eileen ... great pictures ... once again he looks very happy!! But ... I keep wondering whether it's the lighting or something else that makes his nose and cheeks appear so flushed in a lot of close-ups.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. But maybe it's something as simple as a sunburn. Anyhow- I think he looks absolutely wonderful!

I think it is either age or a skin condition. I noticed it a long time ago in 1994 during interviews while promoting Clear and Present Danger. I know that being a heavy drinker also causes it. Whether he is or not I don't know, I hope not and honestly don't ever want to know.

He is a airplane pilot, that wouldn't allow for heavy drinking. No one would insure him to say the least, if he was a heavy drinker.

I like to think he's rosy because he's happy and in love.

I am not saying that I think that he is or he isn't. I am just saying that it is a possibility, it is a possibility that he used to be too.

My uncle used to be a heavy drinker and he hasn't drank in years but his face still has the redness from years and years of drinking.

And IF Harrison is a drinker I don't think it would affect his insurance rates. Pilots are allowed to drink too, even heavily if they want to, obviously just not when they are flying or about to fly :)

There's also something to be said for the Irish in him. Ruddy complexion and all.

It's been a long time since private pilot ground school, but I beleive the regs say no alcohol or heavy medications for 12 hours before take off. (It's much more strict for airline transport licenses.)

Does anyone remember a story about Harrison's plane being forced down due to a storm and after he landed he went to, I think, Hog's and Heffers saloon where he supposedly had a lot to drink, ( very sorry if I got that name wrong)
I want to say it was right before he and Melissa split up the first time. It was the first time I questioned how Harrison and Melissa could be in a good relationship if he was constantly flying around the country. Sure enough, a few months later they split.

Hogs and Heffers was a different drinking story- supposedly, wearing a bra on his head after a movie shoot. That bar's in NYC. One of the first flying/strip club/bar stories came out of Lincoln, Nebraska. The only reason I remember that is the headlines were- "What Lincoln knows about Ford". The pictures used to be in the photo gallery. You're right; it seems there were a lot of 'flying around the country' stories a few years ago.

I think he went through a rough time and had a lot of drinks too much. There were many mentions about this in the tabloids, but since he is with Calista he seems to have stopped boozing. Maybe we all have to thank Calista for that??? IMO I like him much more to tell little Liam good night stories and be the family man again we used to know than fooling around with some unknows 20 years old chicks or visiting strip clubs all over the USA and drink too much. And yeah, he simply looks great nowadays....

It is not uncommon for us older folks to have rosacea as we get older, especially if we have spent time out of doors. It isn't drink related necessarily!

And rosacea can be made worse by lots of caffeine. Tobacco isn't good for it either.
