Apparently, opinion is united on the couple's hair, at least. People Magazine (online) listed them in the worst hair gallery. And, I'm sorry, but I think it's deserved. My humble opinion on Calista's gown: It was a little too close to a nightie to be appropriate for the occasion. Even without the war going on, it was more slinky than elegant. Very pretty though. Nice for a New Years' Eve party. And by then she'll have time to get it fitted properly. Check out the second photo - you can very clearly see the "stress folds" forming across her front as she walks. That's not supposed to happen with a properly fitted garment.
What People had to say:
Harrison's photo (http://people.aol.com/people/pop_up/0,10772,433997_7_photos,00.html)
With more than 30 years of moviemaking under his belt, you would think that Harrison Ford would have learned a thing or two from assorted on-set hairstylists. Think again. At the 2003 Oscars, his 'do is overblown, overgelled and downright overdone.

Is Calista Flockhart channeling Medusa? The spirals atop her head were meant to be soft but instead look super-stiff, and they clash with her delicate pink gown.

I HAVE to be in the minority then because I loved Harrison's doo
No comment either way on Calista's
I was watching the Oscars, and when Michael Moore was spewing his hatred of all things, American (except dollars and stauettes), I noticed Mr. Ford seemed hugely amused. When I came to the website, to see if it was mentioned, I was greeted by an anti-war message. Has the forum been hacked? Please tell me that Mr. Ford is not on the DemocRATic bandwagon to make political hay from the war.
He has always been a favorite actor, and some of his films are favorites of mine. But, I would not continue to patronize his movies, if he were an enemy of my country, as are so many in Hollywood.
What anti-war message are you talking about Casey? And what is the reason you signed up to this forum?
It amazes me how people can make soooo much out of someone smiling/smirking. But these are the same people who would have made something out of it if Harrison would of been picking his nose during Michael's speech. They would have twisted it around and said that Harrison was actually picking on Bush

The forum wasn't hacked, Casey, that opinion was written by me and I stand by it. For the record: I'm no enemy of your country (nor am I French..), quite the opposite in fact, but I don't love the present administration and its policies. That doesn't mean I'm an enemy of America.
IMO democracy American style means that you have the opportunity to - and unrestricted right to - protest and disagree - even in difficult situations like this one, and you don't even have to be American. Why? Because opposition is healthy: it forces everyone to think twice and reconsider their own opinion.
Also for the record: I didn't reach that opinion easily and welcome any opposition to it-
Thanks for your opinion and for showing it, again because it forces me and other antis to reconsider. Besides, debate and not one eyed stubbornness might save a life or two in the process, American, Iraqi, Kurd and British. They're all worth it. (except Saddam & cronies!)
As for Mr. Ford's opinions: why not ask him?

Well slap me silly but I don't know what post you and Casey are referring to Grethe....please point it out to me so you can slap me again.
And here I thought Casey was referring to the blue ribbon I have on the main page to the left (btw: that ribbon signifies peace and solidarity)
I might be overly sensitive right now to certain topic posts because of the hateful yet juvenile emails I've been receiving since the Oscars and the references to Harrison laughing. I watched that part again and he IS NOT laughing. He either has a smile or a smirk on his face...BIG DEAL
I think he was laughing at Michael Moore, quite honestly. Let's face it, the guy made an ass of himself.

To be anti-war doesn't mean to be anti-american ! French people are upset with all lies said by america government and american medias about them.
Please, everyone in this forum is an Harrison'fan. Don't embarrass Eileen with inappropriate debates.

Under Pic set #7. I said I found myself applauding Michael Moore's nerve and words. I think Casey wasn't too happy about that comment.
Sorry if I caused you discomfort and others embarrassment by going poiltical (again), Eileen.

I agree Eileen, that Harrison wasn't laughing. he had a grin on his face like sooooo many other people, and I think it's partially because everyone knew that Michael Moore would have something to say. Who knows what Harrison was thinking to go along with that smurk (I'd sure like to know)
FYI, Michael Moore said almost the same, exact thing at the Independant Spirit Awards the night before. No big surprise that he said it again to a bigger audience.
Harrison's smirk could have been sheer discomfort -being in the front row he could (rightly) assume that the camera would go to him for a reaction shot at this "colorful" moment.

well basically, as much as I could see anyway. It would have been Very difficult for Harrison to NOT know the camera's were on him, because from the stage shots I mostly knew when Harrison was going to be shown, because a camera was 6 inches from his face. He Had to know, so he put on the happy face maybe. Or he might have been having a good time............
No need to apologize Grethe. Don't see where your post was discomforting or embarrassing....
Sorry for delay in replying as I've missed quite a few discussions going on here of late...

i hope that that face was at moore for making a complete ass of himself. though ive heard harrison is friends of the clintons, but has also politically disagreed with bill on several occasions where he felt he had the need to say something about it. im not quite sure on his political views however. i do note that unlike most of the crowd he was NOT wearing one of those peace pins.
