Hi,
does anyone know the title and artist of the song playing when Dr. Walker enters the bar "Blue Parrot" for the first time? I don't know how to find out....
Thank you!
Found this... thought it might help:
Frantic (Roman Polanski, France/USA, 1988)
Notes: Drama/Suspense/Action directed by Roman Polanski and starring Harrison Ford, Emmanuelle Seigner, Betty Buckley, and John Mahoney. Written by Roman Polanski and Gerard Brach. Produced by Thom Mount and Tim Hampton.
Music by Ennio Morricone. It contains Grace Jones' "I've seen that face before" a disco version of Piazzolla's Libertango with lyrics (this song is available on CD).

thanks for your efforts, but it didn't help me... the song I'm searching for is not "Seen That Face before", it's just a song playing in the background when he enters the bar....
I tried to understand the lyrics, they sound like "Something tells me this could be the night, something tells me loving you was right, something tells me you could be the one..." but I'm not sure.
The sound reminds me a little bit of Erasure or similar bands...
Only thing I can think of is to write to the production co. and ask about the incidental music or if the soundtrack is still available. You might try for the soundtrack on ebay.
Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.
Good luck.

That Euro pop band must have been quite lucky with the hiring of their vocalist, because that voice belongs to none other than Grace Jones.
The song is the bonus track on the Frantic soundtrack and is called I think I've Seen That Face Before. Jones is listed there as the singer.

great guardianangel,i'm glad you found it,btw, today wed.2/26/03 is FRANTIC'S 15th birthday, god can it be 15 already?..i think i'll pull out the laserdisc and immerse myself in dr.walker and sondra walker's little adventure in paris
When Harrison and Emmanuelle were in the "Blue Parrot" Club, after he gave the manager the Amex credit Card, they got on the dance floor to dance, she did not like the song that was playing, and went to the DJ to request a really sexy song, Does anyone know what the name of the song is and who sings it? I am dying to find out. Thank you in advance.

hi jenny, the song she hated was, the more i see you by chris montez, the song she requested and dr.walker and her dance to was grace jones' i've seen that face before(libertango)which is used throughout the film, but more so in the touch of class nightclub
Thank you so much for your very prompt and knowledgable answer. One of my co-workers was in the process of downloading many french songs and it made me think of that song. Believe it or not, I could not find a CD of the Soundtrack for the movie "Frantic" even on the internet.
My co-worker at our law firm was wondering if you are a D.J. or just a die hard Harrison Ford and Music Buff?
Once again, thank you so much for setting the record straight for me once and for all.

hi jenny, glad to have been of help.actually i'm a die hard ford/film soundtrack buff..btw on the frantic soundtrack the only song is simply red's i'm gonna lose you(remember where michelle turns on the stereo in her flat and changes her shirt,dr.walker closes the adjoining door in bathroom to give her privacy)the rest is ennio morrocoine's lush score...so i had to buy grace jones' nightclubbing album, its on there-i've seen that face before.
Thanks again, I love Harrison Ford too, and can't wait for his new Indiana Jones movie that he is currently working on. At work, we downloaded the Grace Jones song (I've seen that face before), but I also ordered her Island Life Greatest Hits from Half.com for $2.99 plus $1.50 S&H, because I think I would like her music. Never knew she is french. Yes I remember the Simply Red song and I love them too. Thanks again, I will have to watch that movie again soon.
Jenny
Grace Jones is not French. Grace Jones is from New York, her parents I believe are Dominican (which explains her very exotic African looks). I have always loved her music (dating myself). Try "Pull up to my Bumper" -- now that's a song.

The reason why you can't find the Frantic soundtrack is because it went out of print some time ago. Luckily I have a copy.
And let's not even get into Mr. child molesters Oscar win.
