| Summary |
During World War II, several oddly assorted military experts are teamed in a mission to raid and destroy a dam vital to enemy strategy.
The movie is based on the novel "Force Ten From Navarone" by Alistair MacLean. The book is a sequel to "Guns of Navarone" by the same author |

| Tidbits |
- The first Navarone novel ("Guns of Navarone") was made into a highly successful movie in 1961 starring Gregory Peck, David Niven and Anthony Quinn. That movie walked away with high accolades. Examples: Academy Awards (1 win, 6 nominations) Golden Globe (2 wins), BAFTA (1 win) and DGA Award (1 nomination)
- In this perspective, Force Ten is more than a mere disappointment. It had much going for it: highly talented stars and a director with four Bonds under his belt (Guy Hamilton). Unfortunately the result speaks for itself.
