From: ComingSoon.net
"The Star Wars Trilogy will be released as a four-disc DVD box set September 21, with a global rollout on DVD expected within days of
the domestic release, according to Lucasfilm and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.
The trilogy featuring the classic franchise films "Star Wars", "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi" will be released on
three DVD discs, with a fourth disc likely to hold a newly made documentary about the "Star Wars" franchise and never-before-seen footage,
among several other bonus materials, Jim Ward, Lucasfilm's vp marketing and distribution and the DVD trilogy's executive producer, tells The
Hollywood Reporter.
'We are currently in the process of restoring and remastering all three titles for the DVD release, so we're still working on
details of the marketing strategy,' Ward said. 'But I believe that it is safe to say that it will receive tremendous exposure across all
media.'
Each of the three films in the Star Wars Trilogy has been digitally restored and remastered by THX for sound and picture quality.

"For His Sick Kid" could start filming in six months
From: Rediff.com
"Geeta Anand, a reporter with last year's Pulitzer Prize winning team for The Wall Street Journal, has gone to Hollywood. The
writer who is on a sabbatical from Journal till September has become one of the few writers whose book is sold to Hollywood even before its
publication.
Harrison Ford will star in a film based on her forthcoming book, "For His Sick Kid", being produced for a reported $80 million by Michael
Shamberg and Stacey Sher, whose production credits include such films as the recent hit "Along Came Polly", "Erin Brockovich" and "Pulp
Fiction". The trade publication Variety broke the news last week.
The book is based on her story in The Wall Street Journal and focuses on a man who helps fund the research to cure a rare disease.
When the research turns successful, he has another fight on his hands: he has to get the cure to his own children. The film, which is in
the developing stage, could start shooting in about six months. Ford would like to complete it before shooting on the fourth film in the
Indiana Jones saga for Steven Spielberg and George Lucas." |

Harrison named EAA Young Eagles Chairman
From: WBAY TV
"Actor Harrison Ford is helping kids reach for the skies through the EAA's Young Eagles program. Ford was named chairman of the program
Monday morning. EAA President Tom Poberezny made the announcement with Ford in Van Nuys, California. Ford replaces Brigadier General Chuck
Yeager who held the position since 1994.
The Young Eagles program began in 1992 and has grown into the largest youth aviation program. It gives children free plane rides to
excite their interest in aviation. Ford, an avid pilot, has worked with 81 Young Eagles through the program.
Ford's film career includes the title role in the "Indiana Jones" series, Han Solo in the "Star Wars" trilogy, Richard Kimble in the
movie version of "The Fugitive," and the heroic U.S. President in "Air Force One." He's also starred in the dramas "Witness," "Regarding
Henry," and "What Lies Beneath."
In July, 2001, Ford used his personal helicopter to pick up a Boy Scout lost in Yellowstone National Park and fly him to safety. Ford has

Return Engagement for Harrison Ford
The actor attends a dinner in Laguna Beach, where he appeared in a 1965 production.
By Daniel Yi, Times Staff Writer
"Harrison Ford, the Hollywood star who has played some of the most recognizable and enduring
movie characters, returned Saturday to the town where it all started, Laguna Beach. Ford was one of the guests at a dinner
sponsored by the Laguna Playhouse, a city landmark and Orange County's oldest theater, where the actor made his first West Coast
stage appearance nearly four decades ago.
Guests at the home of gala chairwoman Sindi Schwartz waited in quiet anticipation early Saturday evening for Ford to arrive.
"We are just thrilled," said Ronald Schwartz, Sindi's husband and a playhouse trustee. "The young people are even more excited
than us older folks." Young and old gasped as Ford entered the Schwartz home in Laguna Beach's Montage Resort & Spa.
The gathering for about 40 guests preceded the $500-a-ticket dinner for 340 in the resort's ballroom. Ford arrived in a tuxedo with actress
Calista Flockhart, who wore a form-fitting black dress. The couple posed for pictures and exchanged pleasantries.
Long before his screen hits, Ford appeared in "John Brown's Body" at the Laguna Beach Playhouse in 1965. A music director working in the
play introduced Ford to a casting director at Columbia Pictures.
"The people here" in Laguna Beach, Ford said, "were pivotal to the good fortune I've had." |

Ford back in his 'Element'
According to Variety, Harrison's next movie will be "The Wrong Element", the Joe Forte scripted action/thriller in which Harrison would
"play the security chief for a global bank whose family is kidnapped. He's asked to topple his own security safeguards and steal $37
million from the bank to save his family. Then he has to stop the kidnappers, who've created a complex trail that will make him look guilty of
embezzlement."
Since this news broke there has not been much talk from fans about this project and I would not look for any until
we get word that filming has begun. Fans have grown weary of these new project reports for the simple fact that Harrison has a habit of backing
out for whatever reason and we have learned our lesson of getting too excited after "A Walk among the Tombstones" situation.
Once filming begins, if it does, look for his fans to start showing more interest in this project which I for one like the sounds of very
much.
From Variety:
"Heading back into hero mode, Harrison
Ford will topline "The Wrong Element," a thriller to be financed and distributed by Warner Bros.
Beacon Communications topper Armyan
Bernstein is producing with Jon Shestack. Joe Forte scripted. A director will be signed shortly.
Ford and Beacon last teamed on the
Wolfgang Petersen - directed hit "Air Force One," a film that was also produced by Bernstein and Shestack, who was a Beacon veep at the
time.
Here, Ford would play the security chief for a global bank whose family is kidnapped. He's asked to topple his own security
safeguards and steal $37 million from the bank to save his family. Then he has to stop the kidnappers, who've created a complex trail that
will make him look guilty of embezzlement.
Shestack and Forte set the project up at MGM as a spec script, and Bernstein came in
after that studio put it in turnaround. They brought it to WB, which snapped it up and will fully finance it. WB exec Jeff Clifford will
steer the project.
Pic will be the next project for Ford, whose plans to reprise his Indiana Jones role were dashed after he,
Steven Spielberg and George Lucas felt they needed a new script. Ford last starred in "Hollywood Homicide." He's repped by UTA and
McQueeney Management.
"The Wrong Element" will be the first go picture at WB for Shestack, who has a deal at the studio."
