A new project for Harrison...

Well the news is already all over the net so I best chime in with the latest. According to my buddies over at CHUD.com Harrison is attached to star in Manhunt in which he will portray Col. Everton Conger, who led the search for John Wilkes Booth. The movie is based on James L. Swanson's book Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln's Killer which is due to hit shelves and I gather many a Harrison fan's home this coming February.

As always more information will be posted as it becomes available and there is already a thread about this project on the forum. check it out

Airport Journals has a terrific article about Harrison and as an added treat they have six high quality photos of him at this years EAA event. To say the least these are some fantastic shots of Harrison. Check it out and after you enjoy the photos don't forget to read the article, it is a worthwhile read. Thanks to Lorrie for the tip.

I have some very sad news to deliver.

From The Hollywood Reporter

Patricia McQueeney, Harrison's long-time manager has passed away.

Patricia McQueeney, who was Harrison Ford's longtime talent manager and a former personality on NBC's "Today," has died. McQueeney died Sunday at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica after a brief illness. She was 77. McQueeney was Ford's manager for more than 30 years, until the time of her death. When she launched her management company, McQueeney Management Inc., in 1970, Ford was one of her original clients along with other actors including Cindy Williams, Candy Clark, Mackenzie Phillips, Charlie Martin Smith, Teri Garr and Frederic Forrest.

From all of us here at HFW and the forum our prayers and thoughts go out to Patricia's family and friends. She was one of a kind and from everyone that I have talked to that has had the pleasure of meeting Patricia she was a terrific and caring person. To read more about her career please go to this thread in the forum.

Hey folks have I got a treat for you. Hayley who maintains the fabulous website CalistaFlockhart.org has at her site 200 + wonderful hi-res photos of Harrison and Calista at this years Venice Film Festival. Hayley has given me permission to post as many of these photos I want in HFW's gallery, she did this with the AFI salute to Lucas recently, but I believe right now her site should get full credit and thus I am diverting all visitors there. You won't be disappointed in these photos and she even has several high quality (huge size) pics.

Fragile premiere
Venice Festival arrival

On a related note. If you see these same photos at any other site claiming they are exclusives please know right here and now that those sites have not gotten an exclusive!! What has happened is these are photos that Hayley had at her site and others just helped themselves (even going so far as to slap their own web address on them.) Hayley works extremely hard at providing these wonderful photos for everyone to enjoy. To say the least I am extremely upset to see her efforts thrown by the wayside and to those who have taken her photos you need to understand this is not what running a fansite is all about. Ditch the attitude and show some respect!

Well today is the 6th Anniversary of Harrison Ford Web and I'm too tired to party :)

So instead of a party I have added to the DVD Screen Grabs photo gallery 45 pictures of Harrison from an oldie. Judgement: The Court Martial of William Calley. For those unaware, Judgement was released January 12th, 1975 as a made for TV movie and Harrison's character was Frank Chowder. To read a summary head on over to HFW's TV Movies page.

Harrison was one of the defense witnesses so all his scenes are of him on the stand. Check them out

In an article titled "Harrison Ford Still inspires Amish tourists" ABCNews has a nice article discussing the brisk tourist business as a result of the movie Witness which was filmed in Lancaster County. Here is an portion and to read the rest go here.

For a limited time this year, the 20th anniversary of the film's release, tourists can get an even closer look at the site where movie romance blossomed between an Amish widow and a Philadelphia narcotics officer investigating a murder witnessed by her son.
The farm is one stop on a three-hour guided tour that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the movie. Filmed on location in Lancaster County and Philadelphia, the movie introduced Amish culture to a worldwide audience.

"If you talk about 'Witness' to anyone, whether you're in France or you're in Germany they recognize the movie and that's their concept of what they know about Lancaster County and the Amish community," said Wendy Nagle, president of the Pennsylvania Dutch Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Have finally transferred over all the film pages to the moveable type system. Also did some restructuring as I wanted visitors to have access to a variety of information pertaining to a specific movie. As an example head over to The Fugitive page. Notice for that movie there is cast/crew list, links to photos and script (all here on the site), soundtrack/dvd information, tidbits, plus more.

Now keep in mind all this information is not on every movie page as some of Harrison's older movies such as A Time for Killing there just isn't much information available.

Also, these pages have been cleaned up and are now better organized.

Harrison as Narrator
Un-credited Movies
TV Documentaries
TV Series Appearances
Made for TV Movies (new section)

If there is one thing that I am proud of regarding this site it is the information provided. Guess after six years it better be filled with something :)

Also want to make sure visitors know about the fan art that Elodie submitted a little while ago. Elodie had provided several fan art pieces and wanted to replace them with versions that are more clear. Head over to the Fan Art gallery and check out the 11 drawings she sent in.

Just to keep visitors in the loop of what is going on with upcoming Harrison projects. I spoke briefly to Patricia McQueeney's assistant a few minutes ago to inquire about Firewall and Godspeed.

Firewall release date I mentioned that the online community was hearing March, 2006 as the date. As of today McQueeney's office has not received any word on a release date.

Godspeed Not sure why I was getting a couple of emails about this supposedly filming right now but according to McQueeney's office there is nothing going on with this project at the moment. Now keep in mind that this does not mean that Godspeed is not going to be made and there is a good chance that this movie will be given a new title it's just at this time there is nothing going on.

Harrison on the cover of Saga Magazine. He also gives a rare interview (nowadays this is) and here is a portion of it.

After scorning the bright lights of Los Angeles for years in favour of the wilds of an 800-acre ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, he is suddenly Mr Hollywood. How did it happen?

I was interested in changing my life, he says simply. I have always had the ability to change and to become other people through my acting. I took a good look at myself and decided that I wanted something different from the way I was living. read the rest

July 23, 2005
If you live in or around Los Angeles this is something worth checking out.

Just to keep visitors in the loop on site happenings.

First of all I want to welcome Shirley to the site and soon she will be contributing news and such very shortly. Shirley (NWGal from the forum) has been a long time supporter and contributor to the site and forum and has offered several times in the past to help with the main site. I have taken her up on this offer and heaven help this poor woman ;)

With Firewall coming out and Indy 4 filming soon, Shirley's help will be greatly needed and appreciated. This will be a new venture for me as I have never had anyone put content on the site but I have complete faith that Shirley will do this like an old pro.

Welcome aboard Shirley

Recent site updates

DVD screen grabs section in the gallery has been neglected but that will be changing. Over the weekend I added some caps from three movies and for the next couple of weeks will be adding more from other movies. For now enjoy these:

Air Force One
Force 10 From Navarone
Frantic

Links page has been updated with a section for Harrison sites. And here you thought this was the only one on the net! Just kidding so relax. Not only does this section have links to other terrific Harrison fan sites it also has links to Harrison profile pages.

New Forum feature for members only. The Jukebox section currently has three Harrison related songs for your listening pleasure and soon will have more.

Site outage problems
Every now and then I get emails from visitors who are getting error messages. I contacted the site host and the problem is due to them transferring the site over to a new server and unfortunately it will take time for the error messages to disappear. These happen to me also on occasion and this problem can't go away soon enough! My apologies to everyone and I just ask for your patience during all this.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARRISON

Today Harrison turns 63 and speaking for everyone from the forum I want to wish him a very happy birthday and here's hoping he does not collapse while blowing out all those candles.

All in good fun folks and while you are visiting why not head over to the forum to read some birthday wishes from some of his fans.

Right now only four people have posted something which is rather disappointing and is far from being an indicator of his fan base but I am hoping other members will join in by not only wishing Harrison a happy birthday but also sharing some of their favorite Harrison movie moments.

Also, today there will be a scheduled chat throughout the day and evening where fans can get together and just chat it up. I will be in there off and on but mostly in the late evening. Hope to see you there. Chat room
