From (the) Empire: New Pictures

FROM (THE) EMPIRE: NEW PICTURES

 
 
Empire Online published no less than five new pictures from their exclusive photoshoots with Messrs. Spielberg, Lucas and Ford today.

Included in tomorrow's on-print Indy Special is also a grand cover (top left) and a pic of Indy, Mac, Spalko and crew on their way into the warehouse we by now prefer to call Area 51 (below). Click on thumbs to enlarge and then head over to Empire Online or HFW Gallery 1 to see the rest. Also -- a sneak preview of the words; here's an excerpt from Empire's interview with Harrison:

Journalist: Are there any snakes in the new movie?
Ford: Yeah we got snakes and no, I don't hate them.

J: Why are all the old action heroes like Indy, John McClane and Rambo coming back?
F: It's jobs for older actors. It keeps us off the streets.

J: Can we talk about the roles you turned down?
F: You have to turn down roles to do other roles?

J: I read you regretted turning down 'Syriana'?
F: No, I don't regret turning down 'Syriana'. You should be careful about what you read. And what you write.

J: What is the difference between Han Solo and Indiana Jones?
F: I see a great difference. I think Indiana Jones is a much more complex character and provides the opportunity to explore a lot more of a character's personality and nature. Han Solo was a little dumb and not self-aware.

J: He's a space cowboy!
F: But there are cowboys and there are cowboys. If he's a space cowboy then he ain't from Brokeback Mountain.
J: What about Chewie?
F: What are you, French?


PS. As indicated previously: the printed issue of Empire hits the streets tomorrow Friday March 28.

'CollectoRama' in Grand Prairie, TX

Take a trip out to Grand Prairie, TX and CollectoRama on Saturday April 12 from 10:00 am to 5:00pm Admission is free and the arrangers assure is there's plenty of free parking. There will be 50+ tables of collectibles and if you want to deal yourself, the dealer tables are only $15 each.

There will also be an Indyfest on Saturday May 17 and a Comic, Toy, and Collectibles Swap Meet in the same location on Saturday August 9
