New official video: Shia as Marlon

NEW OFFICIAL VIDEO: SHIA AS MARLON

New official video: see Shia LaBeouf in action: the most interesting part of the new featurette being his and the moviemakers' adoption of - and tribute to, Marlon Brando's classic 1953 The Wild One look and mannerisms -- including some impressing work with a nasty looking switchblade.

Shia ain't Marlon yet but he did do his homework. Looks promising indeed; click below to see for yourselves.

No Indy 4 trailer this week, Seed a widget and Shia Gets Smoking Warrant

NO INDY 4 TRAILER THIS WEEK:
The news seemed solid since it came from a normally well-informed source: the Hollywood Reporter: Reporter said earlier today that the second trailer for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull would premiere at the end of this week and the news spread like wildfire thanks to a well-reputed news distribution giant, none other than Reuters.
 
Unfortunately, more than one newshound forgot the basics on this occasion: pick up the phone and check it up before you go live. UK movie magazine Empire did just that and Lucasfilm could confirm the following:
  • trailer #2 is still a little while away
  • Hollywood Reporter and Reuters had the facts wrong
The mentioned media have now corrected their reports.

SEED THE UPCOMING WIDGET:
The other content of the news report more or less drowned in the hubbub: Paramount is counting on the small, portable applications called widgets that can be posted on blogs and social networks to maximize exposure. The company turned to widget provider Clearspring for Crystal Skull, and will

offer a contest with the release of the second trailer. The two fans who manage to distribute their Crystal Skull widgets most will win trips to the world premiere of the movie and the chance to be red-carpet correspondents in footage that will be streamed onto the Crystal Skull widgets after the premiere.

Paramount plans to launch the widget this week, but the studio declined to state when the new trailer will debut.
 
 
 SHIA'S SMOKE WARRANT:
Shia LaBeouf got busted recently for having had a puff (note: of nicotine) on the sidewalk outside a gift store. When he and his lawyer failed to show up for Tuesday's 8.00 am court hearing in Burbank, the judge issued a $1,000 bench warrant. An attorney appeared in court on Wednesday morning and entered a not guilty plea on Shia's behalf.
 
You can walk away from murder in California but smoking outdoors gets you busted, especially when you're a hot young star and there are potential big publicity rewards for everybody involved - from store owners to arresting officers and witnesses to the "crime". Our advice: Keep on puffin' Shia, if not just for the hell of it. Something besides the tobacco smoke makes a big stink here.
