First Crystal Skull Trailer A Runaway Hit
FIRST CRYSTAL SKULL TRAILER A RUNAWAY HIT....and the movie press is on the trend
![]() ![]() Results on the HFW Poll |
The first Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull trailer is a runaway hit. The trailer was seen over 200 million times worldwide within the first week of release and the biggest medium has been the internet. This means that the reception has been highly positive also among the young, i.e those born after 1989 and the release of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. We have yet to see stats reflecting factors like e.g gender, cultural background and domicile but we may assume that the results are overly positive no matter the demographic factor. The movie press is on the trend too: the latest issues of the UK's Empire Magazine have contained articles and great photos confirming a strong interest. The latest example is the Friday March 7 issue of Entertainment Weekly: the cover sports the perhaps most iconic portrait of Indy ever (from Temple of Doom) and announces an article aptly titled Indiana Jones. Why He's Still Hot. Inside the Legend That's Thrived for 27 Years. We are naturally delighted to the point of delirium but the reception is a also a double edged sword (pun intended): Expectations and stakes are significantly heightened before the worldwide May 22 premiere and a failure to deliver will mean the biggest and most embarrassing splash in moviedom for a long, long, long time. No doubt the honored gentlemen and -women responsible know only too well and like them, we're crossing whatever can be crossed -- so far with a big grin on our faces. |

Pasadena Add-On Shoot and Superb Creations
PASADENA ADD-ON SHOOT AND SUPERB CREATIONS![]() House filmed in atmospheric add-on shoot in Pasadena on Feb. 29 |
A residential area of Pasadena, CA, was the scene of an add-on atmospheric shoot for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on Feb. 29. None of the primary cast members seemed to be involved but exec producer Frank Marshall was present -- and so were a handful of observant fans, who also got the chance to have a chat with Mr. Marshall. Read the on-site report by Adam McDaniel over at The Raider and see the pictures shot by fans Ricky, Andrew and Ryan at The Raider's user forum The Raven. Warning: the latter item contains a pretty big spoiler - if we're to believe everything Frank Marshall says. |
