Spike TV brought together the worlds of horror, sci-fi, fantasy and comic books yesterday evening to honor the genres' outstanding accomplishments over the past year. Harrison was awarded with the first ever Hero Award for his cumulative work in such films as Star Wars, Indiana Jones and The Fugitive. Spike TV/SCREAM cites the following reasons and prerequisites for the accolade: The Hero Award is given to a true superstar - an icon in the hearts and minds of fans everywhere, a living legend, whose body of work inspires all those with a love of the fantastic. Harrison's co-star in Indiana Jones 4, Shia LaBeouf, was named Sci-Fi Star for his performance in Transformers. (Transformers won several other awards, including Best Sci-Fi Movie and Best SFX.) Indy 4 co-star Ray Winstone was also present at the awards. |
| Other special honorees of the evening included Comic-Con Icon Award winner Neil Gaiman; The 25th anniversary celebration of Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan and the second annual SCREAM Rock Immortal presented to Alice Cooper, who also performed I Love The Dead/School's Out with Slash and Rob Zombie. Taped at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, SCREAM 2007 will premiere on Spike Tuesday, October 23 from 10:00 pm - Midnight, ET/PT. German channel ProSieben will broadcast the show on Oct 29 at 12.15 am CET. We recommend you check your local listings as the show will be broadcast in over 130 countries worldwide within the next couple of weeks. |

Not Over: Shooting at Yet Another Airfield
NOT OVER: SHOOTING AT YET ANOTHER AIRFIELD![]() Photo by Brandon Bowers, The Merced Sun-Star |
| It's not over yet: Crews with Paramount Pictures converged on Eagle Field in rural Dos Palos, California last week to shoot scenes. Mike Fantasia, a production supervisor connected with the project, said that between 150 and 175 members of the film's staff arrived at Eagle Field earlier last week to prepare an establishing shot outside of the administration building. Actual shooting occurred on Thursday Oct 11, and by Friday, Fantasia said the crews had begun packing up their gear. Fantasia was tight-lipped about whether Spielberg or leading man Harrison Ford was on site for the filming. "I don't really speak about who's where," Fantasia said. Why Dos Palos? He explained that the look of the World War II era airfield is what drew filmmakers to the location, because of its rural topography and older buildings. Airfields seem to be a big thing in this movie as shooting also took place at Fresno-Chandler Airport in Fresno, California last week. Fresno-Chandler doubles as an airport in Branford, CT and Mexico City International Airport. Harrison is confirmed to have been shooting there. ![]() Steven Spielberg (left) and Harrison Ford at Fresno-Chandler Airport Source: FresnoBeehive.com You can also see screencaps and a video from the Fresno-Chandler location in the respective HFW Gallery, just click lthe links under Sources at the bottom |

That's It
Message to Fan Sites - You mean nothing I have been running this site since 1999. The site remained active during what I feel were Harrison's darkest in regards to his acting career (poorly received movies critically and box office). I knew one day this slump would end and at last the site would be covering projects that started getting fans excited again. That moment came earlier this year with the announcement of two projects - Indy 4 and Crossing Over. The fans that lost interest in Harrison's career started coming back and for me that was the one thing that made keeping HFW going worthwhile. Through those dark years I saw movie sites make Harrison the brunt of jokes regarding his acting career and a few personal things that became public. Even when it was announced he was filming Indy 4 these movie sites kept making fun of him and yet through it all HFW has kept positive about things and pretty much ignored the negative. Today I found out that several movie sites were invited to meet with Spielberg on the set of Indiana 4! Several of these sites are the very ones who ridiculed Harrison and yet today were rewarded and given a stamp of approval so to speak for their total lack of respect towards Harrison all these years. So much for fan sites meaning anything to those who can make things happen! Here we have the most anticipated movie of all time being made and who gets rewarded? Not the sites that work with limited resources (inside sources, lack of financial support, no one to contact to verify information, etc) and still deliver quality news/information but the ones who every so often run a news item and who never forget to bash Harrison. After it's all said and done, sites like HFW are looked down upon with disdain and distrust while movie sites who could give a rats ass about Harrison's career are treated like royalty. Thanks!!Posted by Eileen at 11:00 PM

Lucas Says "Skulls" is the the Raiders Vein
LUCAS SAYS SKULL IS IN THE RAIDERS VEIN- and expect to be suprised
| MTV.com got an interesting interview with George Lucas yesterday re: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Lucas has been interested in the myths surrounding crystal skulls since the Young Indiana Jones days. As can be expected, Lucas emphasized that Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is shaping up to be the best Indy movie since the first one and that it's tonally most like Raiders. But whereas the Ark of the Covenant has very few historically ascribed powers, true believers attribute all sorts of abilities to the crystal skulls. "There's several different kinds of skulls, several different kinds of theories, several myths that are surrounding them," Lucas said. Upon being asked which of the many theories that are employed in the plot, Lucas replied that we just have to look it up, put the pieces together - there are a lot of them - and figure it out " Smiling knowingly, he added: "Or just wait until the movie comes out, which is so much easier." Lucas is also full of praise for Shia LeBoeuf: He says the actor is "fantastic", also that "we've beaten the hell out of him and he loves it, so hey, he's part of the family". Break-In at Spielberg's Office, Computers, Photos Stolen
BREAK-IN AT SPIELBERG'S OFFICE, COMPUTERS, PHOTOS STOLEN![]() |
| The LA Times reports today October 3 that Indiana Jones 4 director Steven Spielberg's office was broken into and computers containing "confidential and proprietary materials" related to the movie were stolen an undisclosed number of days ago. According to IESB.net the material consisted of over 2,000 production stills, confidential paperwork including a production budget breakdown and possibly the Indiana Jones 4 script. The thief proceeded to contact entertainment websites, including TMZ, asking a price of $2,000 for the stolen goods. TMZ may had obtained some of the stolen goods and were on the verge of running the story in their TV division when Paramount's lawyers entered the scene. We noticed that TMZ ran a somewhat cryptic and gossipy ad for their TV show yesterday indicating they had inside news on details of the Indiana Jones 4 production The ad is now gone from the TMZ website. The alleged thief was apprehended by the FBI and LAPD at the Standard Hotel in LA at around 4.00 PST as a result of an undercover operation, where the law was assisted by an unnamed member of the of the online press. According to IESB, the apprehended person was literally caught red harded, i.e in possession of the stolen goods. |

New Registration Procedure for New Members
NEW REGISTRATION PROCEDURE FOR NEW MEMBERS![]() |
We've turned off the possibility to register at the HFW Forums through the forum interface due to a pest called spambots: programs that generate usernames and false email addresses and roam the net to go registering on any user forum or blog that receives new members through user forum or blog interfaces.
These bots are controlled either by spammers, who want to spread their gospel (e.g on the "blessing" of super cheap mortgages, someone's tits/d*** or Viagra) or by generally immature persons, who just want to create havoc for the hell of it. The latter are the those who get their highs from throwing sand into any working project they themselves aren't responsible for and who never make anything fly on their own. We've had it up to here with this pest. Effective from today: we kindly ask everybody who's interested in joining for the sake of interest in Harrison and/or his movies to look top in the right column on this page and send Eileen or Grethe an e-mail. We're really sorry to do this since we know only too well the other way is easier and that it has a lower entry threshold in all ways - but we just can't live with the constant torrent of non-solicited and very unwelcome phoney registrations. We hope you understand. As always: this place is wide open to anyone who's here for a real reason. Welcome!!! |
