First the R2D2 mailboxes and now stamps. United States Postal Service (USPS) will be issuing a new stamp pane that features 15 stamps of various characters from the Star Wars universe. The stamps will be available May 26th in conjunction with the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars. "And now, for only the second time in its 256-year-history, the U.S. Postal Service invites you to vote for your favorite stamp. The winning stamp will become its own stamp sheet." There is a stamp of Han Solo and Chewbacca you can vote for but the Han Solo image does not really look like Harrison that much. Click here to vote (Thanks to Marshall for the email about this) |

Cate Blanchett signed on for Indy IV

According to CHUD and The Hollywood Reporter, Australian ace actress and Oscar winner Cate Blanchett (The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Aviator, Babel) is signed on for Indiana Jones 4. The sources naturally assume her to have a starring role - but what sort of role is still unknown. An official confirmation from the moviemakers has not yet been issued. |

Shia denies Indy
Shia denies Indy 4 rumor Collider.com was at an event for Surf's Up that stars Shia LaBeouf and he had this to say about the rumors of him starring in Indiana 4. "Its turned into this insane thing, and its fun to watch everybody talk about it, but I dont have a deal or a part or anything set, he told Steve. Ill tell you when I hear it." Shia says it's fun to watch everyone talk about it and yet he is the one who got all this talk going by telling online reporters! He could still be in talks to be in Indy 4 but what is aggravating me is how he is getting all the attention for a movie he may or may not be in. It's more or less official: Variety reports today that Shia LaBeouf is in final talks for the part as Indiana Jones' son. PS. Neither Lucasfilm nor Paramount will confirm such talks are under way - yet. Do we like it? All we know is that Shia and the moviemakers have a feelgood & acceptance job to do since a majority of at least our visitors remain sceptical to the idea of any Indy offspring, see poll in the right column (scroll page a bit) FYI: The poll's been up for about a week. |
