Harrison was asked to cut his hair for the film. He refused, stating that his role was too short, and offered to wear a hat instead The movie's 1978 theatrical re-release contains the famous sequence where Falfa belts out South Pacific's An Enchanted Evening to his less than enthusiastic passenger.
